Non-prescription medicinal product

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Their effect is manifested by reducing pain and inflammation, as well as by reducing fever. 

Milorofen is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in:

  • Headache, including migraine headache
  • Pain localized in the lumbosacral area
  • Neuralgic pain
  • Primary dysmenorrhea
  • Toothache
  • Мenstrual pain
  • Rheumatic and muscle pain

It is used for reducing body temperature in febrile conditions.

Аctive substance in 1 tablet – Ibuprofen 200 mg

Mild to moderate pain and fever:

Adults and children over the age of 12 years: 1-2 tablets as a single dose or 3 to 4 times daily at intervals of 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1200 mg).

Children 6 to 12 years of age:

Мilorofen can be administered to children  6  12 years of age upon doctor’s advice only!

Children 6 to 9 years of age: 1 tablet 1 to 3 times daily at intervals of 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets (600 mg).

Children 10 to 12 years of age: 1 tablet 1 to 4 times daily at intervals of 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets (800 mg).

Children aged 6 to 12 years or adolescents aged 12 to 18 years: if it is required to take Milorofen for more than 3 days or if the child’s symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.

Menstrual pain

Adults and adolescent girls over the age of 12 years: 1-2 tablets 1 to 3 times daily at intervals of 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1200 mg).

If your symptoms do not improve for 7 days or your condition gets worse, talk to a doctor.

Elderly persons

You are more prone to getting adverse drug reactions if you are elderly. The most common adverse reactions are bleeding and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract that may be fatal. Talk to your doctor.

Patients with kidney or liver impairment

If you have impaired kidney or liver function, talk to your doctor.

Do not exceed the recommended dose. This medicinal product should not be used in children under 6 years. Do not take Milorofen during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Do not use in the first 6 months of pregnancy unless recommended by your doctor.
